Structure Model
Title
For modeling, the soil is described as consisting of three grains components in which each one has a characteristic geometric shape. The components and their shapes are:
- sand, made up of roughly spherical grains
- silt, formed by roughly spherical grains
- clay, formed by plates that are assumed to be straight parallelepipeds.
On the basis of the soil model, it is possible to study what the internal surface is, that is, the sum of the surface of all the grains.
